Sharks I close victory against Tonbridge

The Dartford Sharks made the journey down to Sevenoakes to face Tonebridge, the only other team to have beaten the Sharks so far this year. Sharks were again in the mood to avenge this previous loss but recent history was not on our side as we typically struggle on their court.

Sharks arrived with a full squad and were ready for a battle and let me tell you a battle is what was had. With both teams having aspirations of winning the league this year and realising that this could be a crucial game in deciding the potential league winners nothing was held back by either side.

Dartford started slow out of the blocks but soon was gaining momentum but could never pull clear of Tonebridge. It was a back and forth affair which include lots of clutch shots from both teams as well as a ton of hard fouls on as both teams knew that every basket was needed to win the game.

As a result free throw shooting became vitally important and down the stretch Dartford struggled in that department which allowed Tonebridge to stay in the game and mount a comeback that would ultimately fall just short as Dartford secured the win.

Sharks were happy to get the win and will look to continue to push for the league title when the next face Sevenoakes at home.

Final score : 70 - 73
