Medway Cup: New House v Dartford Sharks I

Dartford made the journey to Sittingbourne to face New House in our quest to defend the Medway Cup. Dartford started off scoring well but were unable to contain a very motivated New House squad that were looking to defend their home court and Dartford went into the second quarter down by a point. The start of the second quarter saw the Sharks switch up their defence in hopes of stopping the 3 point shot which if truth be told worked and didn’t work as the game went on.

Sharks played a more fluid offensive game which saw lots of ball movement which led to a lot of assists being racked up but as is the Sharks nature this year we decided to go away from what was working and struggled to score for long stretches of the match.

In the end the Sharks rallied together and ensured the victory and the score was a fair reflection of the effort and determination that New House brought to that game. If they continue to play with that level of intensity New House should be successful this year in the second division.

Sharks will continue their push to improve their execution and as a result this will hopefully lead to more wins for the club.

Final Score : 83 – 89
