Club Membership & Fees
Annual Club membership
Club membership is a 12-month rolling financial commitment that covers all training, matches and club running costs. Members that have completed a year’s membership without any unauthorised payment breaks will also have their Basketball England registration paid for in full (covering the next full season). New members or members that missed payments or had unauthorised payment breaks will have to pay their own Basketball England registration for the next full season.
Payment Breaks (authorised)
Payment Breaks must be requested and authorised by the Club committee and should not be stopped without having first received authorisation from the club committee. A justifiable reason and time frame for the payment break should be submitted to the committee, via your Team Manager or Club Secretary, who will then present your request to the committee for consideration.
Payment Breaks (unauthorised)
If unauthorised monthly payments are missed by club members and not paid in full before the next month, then those players will not be allowed to attend any training sessions and play matches until the owed monthly fees have been paid in full.
Those members who regularly stop their monthly payment (unauthorised) will have to pay money owed plus remaining yearly subscription in full before being allowed to attend training or play matches for the club. Plus, if they want to renew their membership for the following season, they will have to pay their yearly membership in full or attend a club committee meeting to formally request to be allowed to pay via a monthly standing order. The committee will then consider the request and vote if the request to pay monthly standing order will be authorised.

Sport can and does play a major role in promoting the inclusion of all groups in society. However, inequalities have existed within sport particularly in relation to gender, race and disability. Sport England and England Basketball are committed to promoting and developing sports equity, which is about fairness in sport, equality of access, recognising inequalities and taking steps to address them. By monitoring the profile of people in sports clubs, national governing bodies of sport and Sport England can identify any issues relating to under representation of different groups and can develop strategies to ensure that all people have the opportunity in the future to develop and progress in sport.
England Basketball requests this data from clubs as part of the annual affiliation process and completing this data accurately enables the club to give an accurate picture to England Basketball on our membership.
